TRANSPORTATION PROCESSES – THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

The article presents an overview of the concept of process definition which is widely used in various fields of life and, depending on the area, it is definitions adopt slightly different meanings. The analysis of the definitions allowed the authors arrive at a conclusion that processes are
of a dynamic nature which is indispensable for the operation of every enterprise. The study also considered the issue of the processes in transportation and logistics. On the example of Public Transport Company in Rokietnica (ZUK Rokbus Sp. z o.o.) a classification of the processes in passenger transportation taking into account different components and processes was considered. The classification of processes allows adequate management of the company.
The purpose of this article is to present the essence of the classification of processes occurring in a transport company. The considerations commence with an attempt to define the concept of process in which the dynamic nature of the processes occurring in transport and logistics
will be shown.
